More routes of support.

Beyond one-time and monthly gifts, several other channels can carry your support further. Reach out and we'll help you set them up.

Employer matching

Many employers match charitable gifts dollar-for-dollar. As a registered 501(c)(3) public charity, we qualify for most matching programs — ask your HR team and we'll help with the paperwork.

Gift by check

We accept gifts by check. Contact us for current remittance instructions and the correct payee name before mailing.

Request instructions

Stock & donor-advised funds

Gifts of appreciated securities and grants recommended through donor-advised funds are welcome. Tell us you're interested and we'll share transfer instructions.

Major & multi-year gifts

For larger commitments, multi-year pledges, or wire and ACH transfers, our team will work with you directly and document any special intent.

Talk with us
Before you give

Tax status, processing, and transparency.

Are my donations tax-deductible?

Yes. Nuristan Education Initiative is a tax-exempt public charity under Internal Revenue Code §501(c)(3), so contributions from U.S. taxpayers are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. You'll receive an emailed receipt for every gift to keep for your records, and our Employer Identification Number (EIN) is available on request. As always, consult your own tax advisor about your particular situation.

Who processes my payment, and is it secure?

Payments are handled by a hosted, PCI-DSS-compliant donation platform and its regulated payment partners. Your card information is entered on their secure systems and is never stored on this website. This site is served entirely over an encrypted HTTPS connection.

Can I give monthly instead of once?

Yes. Use the “Monthly partner” option at the top of the donation form. Recurring gifts give the programs the steady, predictable footing they need to plan teaching and the Kabul cohort. You can change or cancel a recurring gift at any time.

Can I direct my gift to a specific program?

Yes — use the optional designation menu to direct your gift to the Nishegram after-school program or the Kabul Bridge Cohort. Unless a gift is restricted under a written agreement, contributions support the mission as the board directs: village teaching, the urban bridge cohort, administration, and compliance.

How will I know my gift was used well?

We publish a transparency summary with budgets, our monitoring framework, and progress against stated goals. Donor-facing reporting relies on aggregate figures and never on identifiable student data. See our Impact & finances page.

Questions before you give?

We'd rather have an honest conversation than a rushed gift. Reach out any time.
